Overview of our partnership
A partnership focussed on protection and opportunity
We have partnered with Children Change Colombia since 2018, supporting their work to reach some of the most at-risk children and young people across Colombia.
This partnership focuses on addressing complex and evolving risks, from sexual and gender-based violence to recruitment by criminal and armed groups. Through locally rooted approaches, we support initiatives that combine psychosocial care, community engagement and systems strengthening. We are proud of the impact achieved together and of the strong networks of protection being built around children, families and communities.

What we are working on together
Preventing sexual and gender-based violence in Bogotá, Barranquilla, Santa Marta and Cartagena
This programme works with children and young people at risk of sexual and gender-based violence, supporting them to build socio-emotional skills, recognise risks and develop self-protection strategies. It also engages families, teachers and communities to strengthen protective environments.
Across four cities, the project combines psychosocial support, creative methodologies and community engagement. In its first year, it has directly reached over 1,400 children and young people, more than 500 parents and caregivers, and dozens of teachers and community leaders, contributing to stronger cultures of protection and awareness.
Preventing the recruitment and use of children by criminal and armed groups in Colombia
This programme works to prevent the recruitment and exploitation of children and young people, while supporting those already affected. It combines psychosocial support and reintegration, life skills and livelihood training, and the strengthening of community-based protection mechanisms.
The initiative also responds to emerging risks, including digital recruitment, by promoting digital literacy, caregiver engagement and awareness. Through a multidimensional approach, it supports young people to rebuild their lives and strengthens the environments that protect them.

ACJ works with children, young people and families in vulnerable urban contexts, creating safe spaces for learning, participation and protection, and strengthening community support networks.
Fundación CRAN (Bogotá)
CRAN works to protect the rights of children and adolescents, ensuring they can grow up in safe and caring families. Through prevention programmes and specialised support, CRAN strengthens families and communities while providing care and protection for children whose rights have been violated.
